CHAPTER 76: CHAPTER 76: I’LL TAKE YOU TO SEE THE PERSON YOU WANT TO SEE

After much consideration, she decided to feign illness to go to the hospital. Only this way, could she meet Adam Owens and find out if he had disclosed their visit to grandma.

But before she could decide what kind of illness would successfully deceive the servants, Logan Vance suddenly opened the door and walked in.

"What are you doing?" May Morgan eyed him guardedly, watching his every move until he grabbed the documents from the coffee table and turned to leave. Only then did she drop her guard against him.

"Not even inviting me to stay for a simple meal?" Logan Vance turned at the doorway and flashed May Morgan a mysterious smile, tempting her: "Perhaps I could help you leave this house."

May Morgan hesitated for a moment, then scoffed: "Who said I want to go out?"

Logan Vance gave her a sidelong glance, smiling deeply: "I’ll give you one last chance. Do you really not need my help?"

"No, leave." May Morgan snorted, resolutely turned away, and ignored him.

Logan Vance leaned lazily against the door, watching May Morgan he said, "You’re so cold; when you beg me later, I’ll just stand by and watch."

May Morgan snorted disdainfully, just about to retort when her stomach suddenly began to ache. She couldn’t help but clutch her abdomen, sitting on the sofa breaking out in cold sweat.

"Someone, come, my, my stomach hurts!" The cramping pain came on so suddenly that May Morgan couldn’t bear it and had to call for the servants.

The servants dashed over in a panic to check on her: "What’s wrong, Madam? What, what happened to you? Oh, I, I’ll get Dr. Lawson here?"

"No, no time, hurry, take me to the hospital."

May Morgan hastily grabbed the servant’s hand, weakly instructing them.

Seeing this, Logan Vance walked over kindly and asked her: "What’s wrong? Did I really call it?"

May Morgan endured the pain, glared at him, damn it, is his mouth made of a crow’s? How come the bad always comes true?

Now there’s no choice but to go to the hospital!

May Morgan lowered her head dejectedly and said to Logan Vance: "Take me to the hospital."

Logan Vance’s eyes flashed with a smug gleam; instead of hurrying to get May Morgan to the hospital, he folded his arms and looked at her, mocking: "Is this your attitude when asking for help?"

May Morgan gritted her teeth, thinking if it weren’t for the unbearable pain, she wouldn’t even bother speaking to him, alright?

"Please take me to the hospital, thank you very much."

Suppressing her inner indignation, May Morgan had no choice but to lower her head and politely plead with Logan Vance.

The servant beside her couldn’t stand watching anymore and helped to persuade Logan Vance: "Second Young Master, you see the Young Madam is in so much pain, if we don’t take her to the hospital, there might be trouble?"

"Fine, I just happen to be going to the hospital to see Adam Owens, let’s go together."

Whether Logan Vance saw through May Morgan’s intentions and intentionally brought her to Adam Owens’ hospital or if he truly just happened to be going to see Adam Owens, either way, everything went smoothly.

So smoothly that May Morgan felt something was amiss.

But her stomach really hurt, hurting so much that she couldn’t spare the thought to ponder whether Logan Vance had any plots.

To prevent anything from happening to May Morgan, Logan Vance’s car was accompanied by two Zenith Villa bodyguards, ensuring May Morgan’s safety.

The group successfully arrived at the hospital, and after examination, it turned out May Morgan had merely eaten something bad, nothing serious. The doctor prescribed some medication, May Morgan took it immediately, and the problem seemed to be minor now.

After helping May Morgan with her illness, Logan Vance intentionally asked her: "I’m going to see Adam Owens, do you want to join me?"

May Morgan hesitated; while she grew increasingly suspicious of Logan Vance, this was a rare opportunity to see Adam Owens. After careful consideration, she nodded.

"Alright, I was just thinking of checking on him too." May Morgan nodded and said.

As Logan Vance turned and walked toward Adam Owens’ hospital room, he whispered to May Morgan, "I think you should thank me."

May Morgan snorted, dismissively saying, "Thank you for taking me to the hospital? How am I supposed to know you didn’t cause my stomach pain?"

Logan Vance listened, smiling ambiguously; May Morgan looked up at him and suddenly noticed flashes of a peculiar glow in his eyes.

Suddenly, a flicker of memory—a vision of him eagerly serving her coffee—came to her mind.

Could it be... he put something strange in the coffee?

"You bastard, did you secretly drug my coffee, causing my stomach pain?" May Morgan glared at Logan Vance fiercely, accusing him loudly.

The nearby bodyguards heard her and immediately glared at Logan Vance warily, fearing he might suddenly harm May Morgan.

Logan Vance, physically weaker, couldn’t handle even one bodyguard, let alone two, but he had no intention of doing anything to May Morgan.

He glanced down at May Morgan and suddenly burst out laughing, a laugh filled with eerie implications.

May Morgan couldn’t help but shiver; just as she was about to speak again, the elevator doors suddenly opened with a "ding."

As Logan Vance stepped out, he turned to look at May Morgan, saying, "One day, you’ll thank me."

After speaking, he didn’t wait for May Morgan to exit, heading directly to Adam Owens’ hospital room, as if May Morgan’s presence had become irrelevant to him.

May Morgan was stunned in the elevator, unsure of what to do; Logan Vance’s recent words seemed to confirm he had indeed drugged her coffee. But now they were at Adam Owens’ hospital room—if she left now, would she miss her chance to get out?

"Young Madam, should we still go?" The bodyguard behind her, seeing May Morgan lost in thought, asked gently.

Upon hearing this, May Morgan quickly nodded and stepped out of the elevator: "Yes, we’re here; it would be rude not to see him."

When May Morgan arrived at Adam Owens’ hospital room, she happened to see Logan Vance and Maxwell Vance whispering in the small lounge.

Maxwell Vance caught sight of May Morgan suddenly arriving, his face darkening, about to speak when Logan Vance suddenly pulled her hand, whispering: "Maxwell, I need to talk to you outside."

After speaking, he drags Maxwell Vance outside for a conversation—May Morgan knew this maneuver was merely to help her by diverting Maxwell Vance. But why was he doing this?

May Morgan looked at Logan Vance standing at the door, puzzled and a bit confused.

By logic, this person ought to oppose her at every turn; however, why did everything he did seem as though he was helping her?

After hesitating slightly, May Morgan finally extended her hand to push open Adam Owens’ hospital room door. Compared to last time, Adam Owens could now lean on a crutch and move around a bit on the floor.

Upon seeing May Morgan arrive, a hint of joy immediately appeared on Adam Owens’ face. If it weren’t for his inconvenience, he really wanted to hold her tightly in his arms.

"May, you’re here?" Adam Owens joyfully greeted her.
