Yugioh Card Summoner
CH.672 Generic Pack Opening chapter title number #22
As I said, I’m continuing my Pack Opening adventure. Because while Hope already got me a meeting with the Demon God so that I can show him the devices I designed, I’ve not heard back from the System Agents I asked about meeting with the Goddess.
Just goes to show that despite both being Gods, one manages his work much better than the other. … okay, the Goddess might just be more busy and have a bigger workload, but still.
Enough of me complaining about not getting what I want. Packs are always by my side, right? Except when I’m looking for that one specific common card. Because then it becomes a ghost rare.
And since I’m continuing from where I left off last time, I’ll go with another reprint set. I’ve already fully completed all the Gold Series sets I have access to, so I’ll have to go with Dark Legends instead. I’m missing all of 1 card from the set, and it is a card I cannot use. But I want it anyway.

Have to say, feels good to pull some Exodia pieces. I use the Forbidden One a lot, and I haven’t pulled any of his pieces in a long time since I don’t often return to older sets.

DLG1 4
Seven Tools of the Bandit; Flame Swordsman; Thousand Dragon; Gaia Power; Senju of the Thousand Hands; Sonic Bird; Left Leg of the Forbidden One; Elegant Egotist; Curse of Dragon; Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon; Magic Jammer; Amazoness Chain Master

And apparently Amazoness Chain Master is in this set as well. But I already got it, so…

DLG1 5
Gaia Power; Black Pendant; Mystic Tomato; Gravekeeper's Servant; Giant Trunade; Toon Mermaid; Thousand Dragon; Giant Germ; Umiiruka; Shining Angel; Jirai Gumo; Gate Guardian
[collapse]
Well, I didn’t get the card I was missing. So I guess I’ll reveal what it is.
Exchange of the Spirit.
Spoiler
[collapse]
Yeah. As I said, useless for me. But it is a cool card to have.
Now, time for a set change.
----------------------------------------
Now Retro Pack 2 is the next I considered, but I already have everything from it. It also only has 9 cards per pack. So I think we can skip it.
After that is the Ra Yellow Mega Pack, which again I have everything from. And with 11 cards per pack, it isn’t as good as the Gold Series in terms of card efficiency.
So that leaves the only reprint set I’m missing cards from. Battle Pack: Epic Dawn.
I’m missing three cards from this massive 440 card set. Three commons. Because of course they are common. So I’ll open 5 packs, see if I can get any of them, and when I can’t, I’ll get them with Capsules.
Spoiler
BP01 1
Fiend's Sanctuary; Psi-Blocker; Archfiend Soldier; Premature Burial; Raging Flame Sprite
[collapse]
Oh, right. That is why I don’t have the commons from this set, despite the fact that I’ve opened some of it. It is only five cards per pack. And no, none of these are what I’m missing.
Spoiler
BP01 2
Botanical Lion; Fighting Spirit; Horn of the Unicorn; Pot of Greed; D.D. Assailant
[collapse]
Pot of Greed! Always fun to pull.
Spoiler
BP01 3
Asura Priest; Possessed Dark Soul; King Tiger Wanghu; Scapegoat; Damage Gate
[collapse]
Spoiler
BP01 4
Compulsory Evacuation Device; DUCKER Mobile Cannon; Bazoo the Soul-Eater; Call of the Haunted; Goblindbergh
[collapse]
Spoiler
BP01 5
Mysterious Guard; Voltic Kong; Cyber Dragon; White Night Dragon; Twin-Sword Marauder
[collapse]
… well, didn’t get the three I was missing. So let me quickly go over them while I set up the Capsules to get them.
First off, Mad Reloader. A decent card since all I need to do is have it be destroyed by battle and then discard two cards to gain two Pack tokens.
Backup Warrior is a ‘free’ special summon but only in a very specific situation, so it really isn’t worth it.
And Liberty at Last! is a double Compulsory Evacuation Device after a monster you control was destroyed by battle. So Compulsory is better.

[collapse]
Now for the next set change, and I’ll go back to main sets since all of my reprint sets are now confirmed to be fully completed.
----------------------------------------
So ten packs of Judgment of the Light coming up.
Spoiler
JOTL 1
The Atmosphere; Bujingi Turtle; Spell Recycler; Super Defense Robot Elephan; Single Purchase; Cheepcheepcheep; Xyz Reception; Flying "C"; Underworld Fighter Balmung

JOTL 3
Vertical Landing; Googly-Eyes Drum Dragon; Black and White Wave; The Calibrator; Umbral Horror Ghoul; Umbral Horror Unform; Ice Princess Zereort; Mecha Phantom Beast Aerosguin; Traptrix Atrax
[collapse]
Mecha Phantom Beast Aerosguin is not the best MPB. It just banishes a MPB to make an MPB Token. And has the usual ‘cannot be destroyed while you have a token’ and ‘gains levels equal to the levels of tokens’ effects.
Next pack.
Spoiler
JOTL 4
Xyz Reversal; Xyz Agent; Reverse Glasses; Super Defense Robot Elephan; Madolche Chickolates; Shark Caesar; Sargasso the D.D. Battlefield; Bujingi Crane; Traptrix Trap Hole Nightmare
[collapse]
Well, we got a super rare following the ultra rare from the last pack. Sadly I already had Traptrix Trap Hole Nightmare. And everything else in this pack.
Next pack.
Spoiler
JOTL 5
Shark Caesar; Bujingi Ophidian; Ice Princess Zereort; Vertical Landing; Reverse Glasses; Bujinfidel; Black and White Wave; Tour Bus To Forbidden Realms; Armades, Keeper of Boundaries
[collapse]
And now we got a secret rare! And one I don’t actually have.
Armades, Keeper of Boundaries is good. I mean, when people call ‘If this card attacks or is attacked, your opponent cannot activate cards or effects until the end of the Damage Step’ effects Armades effect, you know it is a good card.
But why is he a Light monster? He seems to be using Fire and Ice Magic, so why the Light Attribute?
Next pack.
Spoiler
JOTL 6
Umbral Horror Ghoul; Sargasso the D.D. Battlefield; Reverse Glasses; Star Seraph Scout; Xyz Reception; Traptrix Nepenthes; Xyz Agent; Bujingi Warg; V Salamander

Another ultra rare, but again, already have it. Next pack.
Spoiler
JOTL 9
Interceptomato; Umbral Horror Ghoul; Xyz Revenge Shuffle; Super Defense Robot Monki; Star Seraph Sage; Armageddon Designator; Yellow Duston; Traptrix Nepenthes; Mecha Phantom Beast Warbluran

JOTL 10
Mecha Phantom Beast Coltwing; Bujingi Turtle; Ice Princess Zereort; Umbral Horror Ghoul; Xyz Reversal; Flying "C"; Single Purchase; Kujakujaku; Archfiend Palabyrinth
[collapse]
And nothing new here. So I suppose Judgment of the Light might be ready to be fully completed.
I was thinking of opening some Shadow Specters packs, but I think I’ll just fully complete Judgment of the Light instead.
So let’s pull 200 packs of Judgment of the Light, see what we get, and then get the rest with singles.

[collapse]
Okay. 18 new cards. Let’s go over them.
Galaxy Serpent is just a level 2 vanilla Tuner.
Bujingi Quilin banishes itself to pop a card, which is nice.
Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Rooster can search for Fire Fist monsters, and it also can trade one Fire Formation for another.
Coach Soldier Wolfbark can resurrect a level 4 Fire Beast-Warrior.
Cockadoodledoo is a free special summon, but its level is reduced to either 4 or 3 depending on the situation.
Masked Chameleon resurrects a 0 defense monster when normal summoned.
Mecha Phantom Beast Blue Impala is a Tuner. Can use monsters in the hand as material. And can banish itself from the GY to make a token. Pretty decent I’d say, but I’ve never played a dedicated MPB deck.
Talaya, Princess of Cherry Blossoms gains 100 attack for each Plant monster you control and other Plant monsters on the field cannot be destroyed by card effects. Nice and I need to give a copy to Cailie.
Traptrix Myrmeleo is probably the best of the first wave of Traptrix. It searches a Trap Hole card on normal summon, and if you special it, it pops a backrow instead.
Xyz Encore is too specific. I’ll never run into an Xyz monster to use it on.
Moon Dance Ritual isn’t actually a Ritual Spell. It is just a Continuous Trap. And a situational one at that. Sure the situations where it is good, it is really good. But I think most players would run Skill Drain instead.
Shapesister is just a Trap monster. A level 2 Tuner Trap monster.
Mist Bird Clausolas is nice. Both reducing somethings attack to 0 and negating their effects.
Star Eater is big. I mean, based on its name, it can eat stars. … okay, it probably isn’t that large, but it does have 3200 attack and it is unaffected by everything when attacking.
Bujintei Susanowo is okay. A bit too Bujin specific for my tastes, but if you run a Bujin deck, it is great.
Herald of Pure Light is bad. Sure it gives you GY recovery, but then you have to shuffle a card from your hand to the deck.
Number 66: Master Key Beetle protects other cards on the field, and can then destroy them to protect itself.
And Starliege Lord Galaxion just summons Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon.

Now, give me a sec and I’ll check what I’m missing.
----------------------------------------
And I was missing all of four cards.
Noble Knight Drystan is fine. Some protection and when it is equipped with an equip card, you get to pop a card.
Dragon Shield is absolute defense to a Dragon-type monster. So it is stupidly strong. I really need to check what everything I can do with it, but ‘cannot be destroyed by battle or by card effects and neither player takes any battle damage from attacks involving’ it sounds like a lot. Sure it might leave the dragon unable to kill anything, but it can’t die either.
Transmodify might just cause an evolution by itself. Like honestly. That is basically what it does. I need to test it as well.
And Mecha Phantom Beast Concoruda just protects your tokens from battle and card effects. Really not all that worth.

But that is another set completed. Got some nice cards, especially those two spells there at the end, and Mist Bird Clausolas.
