Yugioh Card Summoner
CH.699 Secrets of Eternity
Today I have to deal with another fissure. Aulis had returned to his duty of informing me of them, so I was off to deal with the next one. Thankfully it happened today and not tomorrow, as tomorrow is Janina’s birthday and I don’t want a fissure to interrupt it.
Then again, I could use the Numeron Code teleportation to take her there and let her have fun with the monsters that appear, so maybe it would have been good.
The fissure was in the southern part of the Empire, near the south edge of the continent. And because it was there, I couldn’t bring a big fighting force. It just doesn’t look good, even if I am a noble in the Empire. So it was just Alice, Unika and I.
There was also a small village nearby, not too close but close enough to where I put a barrier around it and warned the villagers. Luckily that was easy with my title. And yes, I did show them a Laura modified version of my status to tell them that I’m a noble.
The fissure was like they usually are. A few A-ranks and one SS-rank monster. Unika took care of the SS-rank while Alice dealt with the smaller ones.
The SS-rank this time was a giant eagle. It was honestly massive, with a wingspan of almost a hundred meters. So 50% larger than a Boeing 747. … wait. How do I remember that?
Actually, how did I remember Natrix? I shouldn’t remember the scientific names of European snake species. But somehow I do. Where do I get this info from? Am I pulling it out of the ether or something?
Like a lot of my ‘random knowledge’ I can trace back to things I remember doing. But then there are facts like these that I just remember for no reason whatsoever. And I’m pretty sure they’ve become more common as I level up more.
So either leveling up somehow superwires my brain to the point where I can remember things I’ve heard or read once, or something else is going on.
I’ll need to check if the Memory Palace has a search function. Because I actually want to see when I’ve read or heard the Boeing 747 wingspan. And the Natrix fact. Maybe that will explain why I remember them, but I don’t remember when I learned them.
Now back to the fissure. With her Phoenix Bow, Unika lit the World Eagle’s wings on fire. And while the fire didn’t immediately force the bird to land, it did cause it to have to slow down. That allowed Unika to use a new skill she had, Sky Running, to get up to the bird and get some good shots on its face and neck.
Sky Running is an advanced version of Sky Step. Both skills basically do the same, allowing you to produce a small platform under your foot that you can use to step off of. Even midair.
Unika learned it while figuring out a way to fly. She didn’t like the idea of Mana Flight, as it takes a lot of concentration and didn’t really help with her physicality. So I searched the skill catalog and found Sky Step and Sky Running. There is also a third level for the skill called Sky Flicker, which is a combination of Flickering Step and Sky Running. And yes, Unika did get the Flickering Step skill as well.
So with her now better angle, Unika targeted some of the weak points. She tried to also shoot out the eagle’s eyes, but those arrows were blown off course by a strong wind, which also mostly set out the fire that was raging on the wings.
That let us see that the fire had only done minimal damage. Just a few of the longest feathers were slightly scorched. So that is why it didn’t set them out earlier, despite it being that easy.
That quickly made Unika change her battle plan. Instead of relying on just arrows, she began blasting the eagle with magic. And since fire didn’t seem to bother it much, she focused more on Light Magic.
The blinding flashes of Light Magic seemed to work quite well, since the World Eagle began to fly more spastically, and it used a lot more Wind Magic to try and counter the light. But you can’t bend light with strong gusts. Light doesn’t care. So each strike hit true and the bird was quickly taking damage.
Unika then went for a bigger spell, producing a giant disk made of Light. It looked like those Destructo Discs from Dragon Ball, except much larger in size. And it in fact is an Alice original spell that was made based on Dragon Ball. We watched some of it in the Memory Palace.
The giant disk of light was thrown at the world eagle, cutting about halfway through one of its wings before the bird corrected its course and got the disk out of its wing. But as you know, a skilled enough fighter can make the Destructo Discs to follow the opponent.
And while Unika wasn’t as good with it as Alice was, she could make hers do the same. Just not as fast. And the bird that was already struggling to stay in the air with its badly injured wing wasn’t a difficult target.
So the light disk hit the base of the other wing and cut about 80% through the wing before exploding into bright light. The light was a secondary function of the Alice Destructo Discs, as it was designed to incinerate the cut surface so that it couldn’t heal. Except that it didn’t do so with heat, but things like X-rays and even some gamma radiation. It was honestly kind of terrifying, but Alice figured out a way to keep the danger to the user and others minimal.
And since the spell basically irradiates the target, it prevents them from healing that area. Or their entire body if they are a smaller target. But just the area in the case of this eagle.
With both of its wings now badly damaged, the bird crashed into the ground, carving a large crater into the grasslands while it did. Unika quickly followed it before Stella materialized next to her and ran into the eagle’s mouth.
And just a bit later, the eagle began glowing from the inside, as Stella used Light Magic inside of its stomach, killing the bird.
The best part was that she didn’t have to crawl out though the path she came in. She could just undo her light avatar and make another one appear next to Unika.
We collected the massive wings that had been cut off during the crash, as well as the rest of the corpse into Storage. We then spent a bit of time cleaning up the area, which was a lot easier after I used the Numeron Code to teleport Hege Natrix from HomeBase as well as the greater Spirit of Nature to assist the snake. The two of them quickly fixed up the lands, so I teleported Natrix back to HomeBase and sent the spirit back to the spirit world.
We then informed the village that we had dealt with the issue, they had seen the World Eagle, and guaranteed that they’d be safe. Then I teleported us back home. Using Space Magic, not any sort of cheat ability.

Now, fissure means packs, so time for some packs.
The set I got today is Secrets of Eternity.
Again, no look at the set list for me, and by not trying to recall what cards this set has, I didn’t. … wait. Is that how my memory now works? If I try to forget something, I do. At least until I want to recall it again. Or until Laura or Tahlia reminds me of it.
But anyway. The set has Rune-Eyes Pendulum Dragon as the cover card, so I know I can at least get it.
But we will see as it is time for the first pack.
Spoiler
SECE 1
Raidraptor - Readiness; Dododo Witch; Performapal Stamp Turtle; Performapal Friendonkey; Gogogo Golem - Golden Form; Wall of Disruption; Infernoid Seitsemas; Satellarknight Capella; Libic, Malebranche of the Burning Abyss
[collapse]
Raidraptor - Readiness, huh. So it is finally time for me to get some Raidraptors. I do really like that archetype. Mainly because they use Rank-Up-Magics, and I really like those. There really should be more RUM based Xyz archetypes. Maybe even something that starts with a rank 1 monster and ranks it all the way up to a rank 12 behemoth.
Readiness itself is fine. Battle protection for a turn, and then you can also negate battle damage by banishing it. A fine card, but you probably wouldn’t run it in Raidraptors as it doesn’t advance their usual strategy.
Dododo Witch allows you to special summon a Dododo when it is summoned.
Performapal Stamp Turtle can increase the level of two monsters by 1. And that is permanent, so it should work on people. I need to test if he can level up skills or just the overall level.
Performapal Friendonkey specials a level 4 or lower Performapal from hand or GY when summoned.
Gogogo Golem - Golden Form is a decent beater and can negate on field effects.
Wall of Disruption seems like a worse Mirror Force, but for me it might actually be better. Just the fact that I can reduce the attack of people instead of killing them is good.
Infernoid Seitsemas is fine, but the summoning restriction is a bit of a pain.
Satellarknight Capella allows you to summon rank 5 Xyz monsters using level 4 monsters as material. But only if the summoning needs 3 or more materials.
And Libic, Malebranche of the Burning Abyss does the standard Burning Abyss special summon, and if it is sent to the GY, you can special a level 3 Fiend from the hand.
Next pack.

SECE 2
Last Minute Cancel; Satellarknight Capella; Dododo Swordsman; Dododo Witch; Double Trap Hole; Spiritual Beast Rampengu; Infernoid Piaty; Yosenju Tsujik; Dragoons of Draconia
[collapse]
Last Minute Cancel sucks. Sure it changes all of your monsters into defense, but then if they are destroyed they return to the hand. I want to keep them on the field. … well, I suppose you can just Pendulum summon them again, but still. Not a great trap.
Dododo Swordsman is strong. After you flip summon it. If you don’t, it is a 0 attack level 8.
Double Trap Hole is fine, but I have better Trap Holes.
Spiritual Beast Rampengu is GY setup, but it has to banish a monster from the GY first.
Infernoid Piaty is fine. Again, like with Seitsemas, the summoning restriction is a bit of a pain.
Yosenju Tsujik is a wannabe Honest.
And Dragoons of Draconia is a vanilla Pendulum. The Pendulum effect is okay, but searching level 5 or higher vanillas isn’t that amazing. Princess Cologne can just special summon any Vanilla from the deck, so…
Next pack.

SECE 3
Infernoid Seitsemas; Ritual Beast Ambush; Explossum; Morphtronic Smartfon; Satellarknight Capella; Wall of Disruption; Gogogo Golem - Golden Form; Constellar Twinkle; U.A. Turnover Tactics
[collapse]
Ritual Beast Ambush resurrects a Ritual Beast Tamer and Spiritual Beast from the GY/banished at the same time.
Explossum is a terrible anti Xyz card.
Morphtronic Smartfon I got a long time ago from the Synchro challenge.
Constellar Twinkle is a level increase for a Constellar.
U.A. Turnover Tactics is pretty cool. It basically returns all monsters to the decks and both players summon other monsters so that they have the same number of monsters on the field. I mean it is useless for me, but it is cool.
Next pack.
Spoiler
SECE 4
Double Trap Hole; Unpossessed; Infernoid Seitsemas; Gogogo Golem - Golden Form; Yosenju Magat; Re-qliate; Yosenju Tsujik; Swordsman of Revealing Light; Koa'ki Meiru Overload
[collapse]
Unpossessed is going straight to Unika. She still uses Charmers as her archetype of choice, so it belongs to her. Well I might keep the first copy to myself and give her the second one.
Yosenju Magat specials a Yosenju from the deck.
Re-qliate is really good in the TCG, but I don’t think I’ll need it.
Swordsman of Revealing Light is okay. It can special itself in response to an attack, and it even destroys the attacking monster if that monster has 2400 attack or less. And if used as an Xyz material, it gives a once per turn battle destruction immunity to the Xyz monster.
And Koa'ki Meiru Overload is really good. It can negate a summon. Sure I don’t need it, but that is a powerful effect.
Next pack.
Spoiler
SECE 5
Double Trap Hole; Unpossessed; Level Lifter; Explossum; Mischief of the Gnomes; Extra Net; Raidraptor - Rise Falcon; Superheavy Samurai Trumpeter; Performapal Trump Witch
[collapse]
Level Lifter can allow for some interesting Xyz summons. But like always, I can just summon the monsters with the correct levels instead.
Mischief of the Gnomes lowers the levels of all monsters in the hand by 1, allowing for easier summons. Don’t need that.
Extra Net is trash. I’ll never be in a situation where it will activate. And if you are like ‘but you already had that’, that is because I recreated it for the Duel Runner tournament, just because I needed more genetically okay field spells.
Raidraptor - Rise Falcon is an absolute Fissure killer. Since fissure monsters count as being ‘special summoned’, it can gain a ton of attack and attack each of them.
Superheavy Samurai Trumpeter specials itself, and if you tribute it to tribute summon a Superheavy Samurai, it specials itself from the GY.
And Performapal Trump Witch, while a Pendulum scale, allows you to fusion summon with materials on the field. And if it is a monster, you can tribute it to search for a Poly.
Next pack.
Spoiler
SECE 6
Zenmaiday; Extra Net; Uni-Zombie; Soul Strike; Explossum; Performapal Partnaga; Infernoid Attondel; Jigabyte; Gottoms' Second Call
[collapse]
Zenmaiday can add extra Xyz material to Wind-Up monsters. And it can act as a RUM for them.
Uni-Zombie does level modulation and GY setup.
Soul Strike can give a monster a decent attack boost, but I have better cards for that.
Performapal Partnaga can give attack boosts. And level 5 or lower monsters cannot attack.
Infernoid Attondel has the same problem as the other Infernoids from this set. But it can double attack and has 2800 attack.
Jigabyte summons a monster with 1500 ATK and 200 DEF when it is destroyed. That is really specific, but there are probably some okay targets.
And Gottoms' Second Call is a double Monster Reborn for X-Sabers, but only if you control an X-Sabers Synchro monster.
Next pack.
Spoiler
SECE 7
Performapal Fire Mufflerlion; Dododo Swordsman; Satellarknight Capella; Extra Net; Toy Knight; Zenmaiday; Performapal Friendonkey; Gottoms' Second Call; Lightning Rod Lord
[collapse]
Performapal Fire Mufflerlion can give another monster a 200 attack boost and the ability to attack again.
Toy Knight special summons another Toy Knight from the hand.
And Lightning Rod Lord prevents spell use during main phase 1. No clue how that translates. I need to test that.
Next pack.
Spoiler
SECE 8
Gogogo Talisman; Zenmaiday; Dragunity Divine Lance; Spiritual Beast Rampengu; Unpossessed; Gogogo Golem - Golden Form; Superheavy Samurai Soulbeads; Level Lifter; Nekroz Cycle
[collapse]
Gogogo Talisman protects from battle damage and can make a Gogogo not die by battle.
Dragunity Divine Lance is another card I made for the Duel Runner tournament, but that I didn’t have access to yet. It is a great equip, but a bit limited in use.
Superheavy Samurai Soulbeads can either act as an equip that protects from card effect destruction, or it can be a resurrection hand trap.
And Nekroz Cycle means we have Nekroz monsters in this set. And maybe the next few sets. I might finally get somewhere with the Ritual challenge! Cycle itself is nothing that special, just a fairly standard Ritual Spell.
Next pack.
Spoiler
SECE 9
Performapal Spikeagle; Constellar Twinkle; Raidraptor - Rise Falcon; Uni-Zombie; Zenmaiday; Pendulum Shift; Satellarknight Capella; Last Minute Cancel; Void Expansion
[collapse]
Performapal Spikeagle gives a monster piercing for a turn.
Pendulum Shift is Pendulum scale modification.
And Void Expansion is fine. Free tokens and forcing opponents to target the strongest monster.
Next pack.
Spoiler
SECE 10
Performapal Stamp Turtle; Double Trap Hole; Extra Net; Superheavy Samurai Soulpiercer; Soul Strike; Level Lifter; Gogogo Talisman; Legendary Maju Garzett; Cagna, Malebranche of the Burning Abyss
[collapse]
Superheavy Samurai Soulpiercer is great. Piercing damage is always nice, and it also searches when it goes to the GY.
Legendary Maju Garzett is a massive beatstick.
And Cagna, Malebranche of the Burning Abyss sends a Burning Abyss Spell/Trap to the GY when it is sent to the GY.
So that was the first opening of Secrets of Eternity. 2 supers, 1 ultra rare. Not bad. Sadly nothing crazy good outside of Rise Falcon. Well Legendary Maju Garzett is good if I just need attack points, but Ra does the same and does it better.
