Yugioh Card Summoner
CH.703 Dark Side of Dimensions
Now. I have some dragons to get. And I guess some Cubics as well, but let’s be honest here, I want the dragons. Specifically Chaos Max. I have the baby Chaos Dragon, but I lack MAX.
And Deep-Eyes will be cool as well. As is Gandora and some of the Cubics. Oracle Mahad is also in this pack. So many cool cards. And I want them all.
So let’s start opening packs.
Spoiler
MVP1 1
Cubic Karma; Dig of Destiny; Clear Kuriboh; Unification of the Cubic Lords; Deep-Eyes White Dragon
[collapse]
Oh! I don’t know why I’m surprised. I just mentioned Deep-Eyes, but I just didn’t expect that I’d get it in the first pack. And since I mentioned it, let’s start with it.
Deep-Eyes White Dragon is great. I love the design, the summoning condition is easy, you burn the opponent when you summon it, and it gets the attack stat of the strongest dragon in your GY. And if Deep-Eyes dies, it kills all opposing monsters.
Now to the ‘borning’ cards. Cubic Karma does some good things for a Cubic deck. Attack boosting, milling, halving your opponent’s life and even searching. Sure I don’t really need most of those effects, but attack boosting is always good.
Dig of Destiny is just a draw trap.
Clear Kuriboh negates effect damage and can banish itself to let you draw a card.
And Unification of the Cubic Lords is the Cubic Fusion card. With some decent added stuff.
Next pack.

MVP1 2
Blade Garoodia the Cubic Beast; Clear Kuriboh; Blue-Eyes White Dragon; Crimson Nova Trinity the Dark Cubic Lord; Cubic Mandala
[collapse]
Blade Garoodia the Cubic Beast is fine. It does Cubic things and does them quite well.
Getting the movie Blue-Eyes White Dragon is also nice, even though Pack Opener is showing the wrong artwork on it for some reason. But it will have the right one when I actually take it out of Collection. I just don’t know why it sometimes messes up. It is probably programmed wrong.
Crimson Nova Trinity the Dark Cubic Lord is amazing. 4500 attack, it can attack twice and it halves your opponent’s HP when it attacks. And it has protection for card effects and targeting.
And Cubic Mandala does a mass resurrection for opposing stuff, but it also negates the effects of those monsters and lowers their attack to 0.
Next pack.
Spoiler
MVP1 3
Cubic Rebirth; Dimension Sphinx; Magical Contract Door; Apple Magician Girl; Deep-Eyes White Dragon
[collapse]
Cubic Rebirth forces opponents to summon the other copies of an attacking monster. Then it places Cubic Counters on them and stuff. And you get to special summon from hand ignoring summoning conditions. It is fine, but really nothing crazy.
Dimension Sphinx is fine, but a bit too situational.
Magical Contract Door is an okay searcher, but I don’t need it.
And Apple Magician Girl is fine. It specials a Spellcaster from hand when targeted for an attack, and the attack is moved to that monster instead. And the attack of the attacking monster is halved.
Next pack.
Spoiler
MVP1 4
Pandemic Dragon; Marshmacaron; Magical Contract Door; Dark Magician Girl; Slifer the Sky Dragon
[collapse]
Well. I pulled a God. But I already had Slifer, so. Also already had Dark Magician Girl.
Pandemic Dragon can weaken other monsters, which could be useful.
And Marshmacaron summons 2 more of itself when destroyed by battle or card effect.
Next pack.
Spoiler
MVP1 5
Dimension Reflector; Marshmacaron; Induced Explosion; Geira Guile the Cubic King; Indiora Doom Volt the Cubic Emperor
[collapse]
Dimension Reflector is really cool, as it can become a copy of a monster. So with it, I could have theoretically copied the immortal tree for research purposes. Actually it doesn’t copy the effect, so maybe not, but it might still have some uses.
Induced Explosion is just a sucky counter card.
Geira Guile the Cubic King does Cubic burn things.
The same goes for Indiora Doom Volt the Cubic Emperor.
Next pack.
Spoiler
MVP1 6
Dragon's Fighting Spirit; Crimson Nova Trinity the Dark Cubic Lord; Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon; Final Geas; Dark Horizon
[collapse]
Dragon's Fighting Spirit gives a dragon the ability to attack multiple times.
Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon is fantastic and I love it. Just everything about it, except maybe the defense stat, is wonderful. And the defense stat doesn’t matter when actually playing the TCG. But for me, it does somewhat limit the use of Chaos MAX.
Final Geas is super situational and I’ll likely never use it.
And Dark Horizon summons a Spellcaster from the deck, so it is great.
Next pack.
Spoiler
MVP1 7
Slifer the Sky Dragon; Lord Gaia the Fierce Knight; Deep-Eyes White Dragon; Blade Garoodia the Cubic Beast; Dragon's Fighting Spirit
[collapse]
Lord Gaia the Fierce Knight specials itself and can gain an extra 700 attack.
Next pack.
Spoiler
MVP1 8
Buster Gundil the Cubic Behemoth; Deep-Eyes White Dragon; Final Geas; Lord Gaia the Fierce Knight; Dark Magician
[collapse]
Buster Gundil the Cubic Behemoth can have up to 3k attack and can attack 3 times. That’s a lot of damage.
And Dark Magician, movie art, is also nice to have. Not that Pack Opener is showing it. Again.
Next pack.
Spoiler
MVP1 9
Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon; Cubic Karma; Assault Wyvern; Kaiser Vorse Raider; Dark Magic Veil
[collapse]
I’ve had Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon for a long time, but still nice to get it from a pack.
Assault Wyvern tributes itself to special a dragon from hand or GY.
Kaiser Vorse Raider specials itself and gains attack each time it destroys a monster by battle.
And Dark Magic Veil summons a Dark Spellcaster from hand or GY.
Next pack. Which will probably also be the last. I think I got most of the cards already, so I can just get the rest with Capsules.
Spoiler
MVP1 10
Slifer the Sky Dragon; Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon; Crimson Nova the Dark Cubic Lord; Pandemic Dragon; Celtic Guard of Noble Arms
[collapse]
Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon is another one I already had.
Crimson Nova the Dark Cubic Lord can attack twice and inflicts 3000 burn during the end phase.
And Celtic Guard of Noble Arms specials a Celtic Guard monster from the hand. And draws cards for each Celtic Guard monster you control. Pretty nice.
Now let me quickly set up Capsules for everything I didn’t get and we can go over them.
----------------------------------------
… Okay. Apparently I was missing 23 cards. More than I thought. Maybe I should have just opened more packs, but I already set up the Capsules, so whatever.
Let’s go over these by the archetype. I think that will be the best. Starting with Cubics.
Vijam the Cubic Seed is kind of the core of the Cubic archetype. It isn’t bad, just not amazing either. You run it because you have to.
Dark Garnex the Cubic Beast is the weakest of the ‘Cubic attackers’, so it isn’t all that great, but you still run it because the deck needs it.
Vulcan Dragni the Cubic King is the mid level ‘Cubic burner’. It is fine enough, but again, kind of just this middle point between a Seed and what you actually want to summon.
Duza the Meteor Cubic Vessel is a Cubic Foolish Burial on summon, so it is quite nice.
Cubic Wave both doubles the attack of a Cubic monster and halves the attack of an opposing monster, so that is really nice.
Spoiler
[collapse]
And that was all of the Cubic stuff, so next we can go to … Gadget, I suppose.
Silver Gadget is fine. You get to special summon a level 4 or lower machine from the hand when you summon it, and if it is destroyed, you get to special summon a Gadget from the deck.
Gold Gadget is exactly the same.
And Metalhold the Moving Blockade takes in all Machines you control, gaining their attack and defense stats.
Spoiler
[collapse]
Next come the Magician Girl.
Berry Magician Girl searches for a Magician Girl when summoned. And specials 1 from the deck when targeted for an attack.
Lemon Magician Girl can tribute another Magician Girl to search for a Spellcaster. And when attacked, you get to special summon a Spellcaster from hand, make it the attack target and the attacking monster’s attack is halved.
Chocolate Magician Girl let’s you draw a card if you discard a Spellcaster. And it does the usual Magician Girl effect of summoning a Spellcaster when attacked, but Chocolate summons it from the GY.
Kiwi Magician Girl can be discarded for an attack and defense boost. And if it is on the field it gives Spellcaster-Type monsters targeting and card effect destruction immunity.
And I guess Magicians' Defense also counts for this. It just halves all damage you take.
Spoiler
[collapse]
Let’s knock out the few last Yugi monsters next.
Sentry Soldier of Stone specials itself from the GY if you only control Rock monsters.
Palladium Oracle Mahad can special itself if you draw it from the deck. If it battles a Dark monster, its attack is doubled. And if it dies, you special Dark Magician from basically anywhere.
Gandora-X the Dragon of Demolition is a field wipe that also burns and gains the attack of the strongest monster it destroyed.
Spoiler
[collapse]
Now all that is left is Krystal Dragon and some traps.
Krystal Dragon is pretty basic, it just adds a level 8 dragon from deck to hand it it battled.
Counter Gate is negate attack, draw card and if it is a monster, special summon it. Situational but fine.
Dimension Guardian is really nice protection. Both effect and battle. Definitely need to look into it.
Dimension Mirage gives a monster multiple attacks, but only if the target wasn’t destroyed. Which can legitimately be useful for me, as this world doesn’t follow the Yugioh rules where the opposing monster always dies if you attack it with a stronger monster.
Krystal Avatar is a mediocre attack stopper.
Metamorphortress is basically just +1000 to the attack of whatever monster you target when summoning it.
And Spiritual Swords of Revealing Light lets you negate attacks, but it costs you 1000 life points.
Spoiler
[collapse]
But that was everything from the Dark Side of Dimensions movie pack. Gotta love those Blue-Eyes. And I think Alice will enjoy having more Magician Girls.
And Wilma might want the Gadgets.
Cailie might be able to use the Dimension traps.
… Well, I’ll think about that some other day..
