Yugioh Card Summoner
CH.707 Last Fissures of the year
“Thanks, Sicily.” I thanked the third of the Goddess that had come to deliver their findings.
“Of course. Just … we don’t like what you found out. Not at all.” She responded, referring to my findings about the States.
“Neither do I.” I agreed. “But unless I can find their device, which might take days of randomly flying through the bedrock, I can’t stop them. Unless…”
“You know we can’t. Laws also govern us. We act for the best of the world within the limits we have.”
“I know, I know.” I told her. I’d heard that like 30 times, but it still sucks. “They haven’t done anything that bad, yet, so no Enemy of the World.”
“We would still like to ask of you, unofficially only, that you deal with them. Wars aren’t something we can interfere with.”
“If I ever remake this System, remind me to make it so that suspicious behavior can be stopped.”
“Not to say you won’t, but it won’t help with our current issues.”
“Yeah, I know. Just a thought experiment. Thanks for the fissure info. I’ll deal with them so that they won’t be a problem on that day.”
“Unless we missed one, in which case, we are sorry.”
“Don’t worry, it happens.” I told her. “Are you still good on the timeline?”
“Yes. We will be here.” Sicily said. “The others will as well.”
“Yeah, I heard. Ibu is also coming. I know your seating is kind of off to the side, but can’t exactly reveal the existence of multiple Gods to people.”
“It is perfect.” Cicily said. “We can keep our privacy and enjoy the show.”
----------------------------------------
With that quick meeting over, let’s talk about something else before I go deal with the fissures. Or more like someone else. The Divine Lord to be specific.
I wanted to look at his mythology. See what his holder did while he was alive. And luckily I was given the story directly from the System. Sure it might lack some of the ‘greatness’ of an actual story, but it is about as good as anything.
The Divine Lord is a combination of two ultimate System Supports. One of them was the ‘Divine Tamer’. A tamer so skilled he could tame anything.
… not really, but that is what people believed.
His best known companion was a female lion. His first tame. A monster that grew with him while he became a legend. A lion that grew so strong it became a human, and was the mate of the divine tamer.
Or at least that is what the books and stories say. The truth was different.
The divine lord had a lover. A girl that lived with him and went on adventurers with him. She had a simple skill called Beast Union. She would become one with the tamer’s lion, and they would head out on adventures.
Until a rival of the tamer found out about the girl. That rival didn’t know about her skill. Didn’t know that her skill was the one thing that made her special. They believed her to just be the companion of the tamer, which admittedly she was.
So they took her hostage, and demanded that the tamer kill their lion, or the girl will die. The tamer, faced with that impossible choice, hesitated for too long and the kidnapper lunged his knife into the girl’s heart.
And at that point, the lion no longer hesitated. She went against the orders of his tamer, lunging at the kidnapper. The lion killed the kidnapper, but was also gravely wounded.
The two loves of the tamer’s life, his lion and his companion, bleeding out in front of him brought the tamer to tears, but he couldn’t do anything. But luckily for him, the two that had been together so many times could.
They permanently became one. Using the parts of them that were undamaged, forming a permanently unified being.
Of course once the new lion girl was seen walking around with the tamer, everyone believed her to just be the lion of the tamer. Not that she minded, as that is what they had always been.
The two went on to achieve many things in their lives, before eventually passing. Afterwards, their System Supports, that had grown to the ultimate rank during their lives, were offered the position as the continent God by the previous God.
After a long time of training under the previous God, the now dubbed ‘Divine Lord’ took over the seat of a God.
----------------------------------------
Luckily there were two fissure spots to deal with, so I went to work on them. I just had to have them done before the day. The sucky part was that the estimated day for both fissures was the Goddess’ day, because of course it was, but I can deal with them beforehand.
The first one was in the southern part of Ruiso Kingdom, near the border with the Crystal Empire. It was no issue, no SS-ranks showed up. Just an S-rank and four A-ranks.
The other one was in Narra Kingdom. It was a bit of a problem, as it spawned on the outskirts of a city, specifically over a graveyard. And the fissure caused many of the dead to come back as undead, including an SS-rank Lich overlord. Luckily it wasn’t my first time dealing with one, and I now had more powers by my side, so I used Natural Energy Winds, or En Winds, to negate all magic in the area. Sure it also prevented my spellcasting, but not card use and not sword use.
I activated Macro Cosmos and followed that up with Grand Convergence. With the two, all of the undead were defeated except the Lich overlord. Luckily Macro Cosmos summoned Helios - The Primordial Sun and I just banished a bunch of stuff, so I just let it take down the lich.

[collapse]
It was a bit of a shame that I basically ruined this graveyard, but it is what it is. At least there was minimal property damage. And admittedly, this is a graveyard for those who didn’t do that well in life, so while they might complain, nothing will really come of it.
And I did banish all of those corpses. At least that will ensure that they will be able to rest for the rest of eternity. Unless someone who can bring back banished things shows up.
----------------------------------------
Now, after the fissure is always packs. And since I dealt with two, I got two new sets. Sadly one will have to wait until next time, or this will drag on for too long.
And today I’m opening 10 packs of Crossed Souls. So let’s just get straight into it. Well, straight after I point out that the set code for Crossed Souls is CROS. Just perfection.
Spoiler
CROS 1
Performapal Pinch Helper; Performapal Thunderhino; Performapal Springoose; Zefrasaber, Swordmaster of the Nekroz; Edge Imp Saw; Edge Imp Frightfuloid; Statue of Anguish Pattern; Magma Dragon; Schuberta the Melodious Maestra
[collapse]
Performapal Pinch Helper can negate an attack and special a Performapal from the deck. And it can also negate the battle damage from a fight involving a Performapal monster.
Performapal Thunderhino requires that your opponent attacks it. And it can banish itself from the GY to protect a Performapal from destruction.
Performapal Springoose banishes itself to return 2 cards from your field to your hand.
Zefrasaber, Swordmaster of the Nekroz can act as a Ritual Spell for Nekroz monsters.
Edge Imp Saw lets you draw 2, but with quite the high cost.
Edge Imp Frightfuloid is not that great. It can take the stats of a Frightfur monster you control or in your GY, but I can just summon the fusion again.
Statue of Anguish Pattern is amazing for Trap Monster decks. While it is active as a trap monster, whenever you summon another trap monster, you get to pop a card.
Magma Dragon resurrects a Wyrm when it is summoned.
And Schuberta the Melodious Maestra if fine. Good stats, it can banish 3 cards and gain an extra 600 attack. It is nothing crazy, just nice. And getting more music based monsters is always nice, just because having more music in life is nice.
Next pack.

CROS 2
Doomdog Octhros; U.A. Dreadnought Dunker; Raidraptor - Mimicry Lanius; Shaddoll Zefracore; Performapal Bowhopper; Fluffal Sheep; Fiend Griefing; Raidraptor - Sharp Lanius; Moon Mirror Shield
[collapse]
Doomdog Octhros searches for a level 8 Fiend when it is sent from the field to the GY.
U.A. Dreadnought Dunker is pretty good. Piercing damage and popping a card when it inflicts battle damage are good effects.
Raidraptor - Mimicry Lanius has two great effects. It either allows for a rank 5 play, or just allows you to search for any Raidraptor card. Mainly Nest, but if you have it, get anything you need.
Shaddoll Zefracore I already had. Got it off of Reeshaddoll Wendi.
Performapal Bowhopper can burn or do GY recovery by tributing another Performapal.
Fluffal Sheep is a free special summon, and you can return to hand another Fluffal monster to special an Edge Imp monster from hand or GY.
Fiend Griefing returns a card from the opponent’s GY into their deck, and then lets you Foolish Burial a Fiend.
Raidraptor - Sharp Lanius can turn something into defense mode. And if it battled, it can resurrect a Raidraptor.
And Moon Mirror Shield is Moon Mirror Shield. It is amazing. Even if I’ll likely never run into a situation where I’ll need it.
Next pack.

CROS 3
Dizzying Winds of Yosen Village; Performapal Pinch Helper; U.A. Dreadnought Dunker; Fiend Griefing; Fluffal Crane; Infernoid Sjette; Performapal Lizardraw; Barbar, Malebranche of the Burning Abyss; Bloom Diva the Melodious Choir
[collapse]
Dizzying Winds of Yosen Village is okay. Forcing stuff that is returning to the hand to go to the deck instead can be really good. But it can also be useless. As it most likely is for my use.
Fluffal Crane recovered a destroyed Fluffal, and let’s you draw a card.
Infernoid Sjette is … something. It banishes a monster from your opponent’s extra deck when it attacks. Sure they get to choose, but still. And you can also tribute a monster to banish a card from your opponent’s GY.
Performapal Lizardraw, while a Pendulum, can destroy itself for a draw 1. And if it is on the field, and another one of your Performapals is destroyed, you get to draw equal to the number of Performapals you control.
Barbar, Malebranche of the Burning Abyss can do 900 burn.
And Bloom Diva the Melodious Choir is basically a worse Yubel. Cute though.
Next pack.

CROS 4
Shaddoll Zefranaga; Magma Dragon; Fluffal Sheep; Abyss Stungray; Performapal Springoose; Dizzying Winds of Yosen Village; Performapal Pinch Helper; Moon Mirror Shield; Tellarknight Ptolemaeus
[collapse]
Abyss Stungray is a decent Trap monster. 1900 attack and cannot be destroyed by battle is good.
And Tellarknight Ptolemaeus is crazy. Detach 3 for a Rank Up. Detach 7 for a turn skip. The skip 7 is busted for me, as I can just give the monster additional overlay units. Either by just placing appropriate cards under it, or by using the Numeron Code. So I can just permanently stunlock my opponent.
Next pack.
Spoiler
CROS 5
Chosen of Zefra; Infernoid Sjette; Phantom Gryphon; Ritual Beast Tamer Zeframpilica; Superheavy Samurai Gigagloves; Performapal Recasting; Yosenju Kodam; Raidraptor - Blaze Falcon; Harpie Harpist
[collapse]
Chosen of Zefra is crazy. Sure it needs some setup, but the effects are crazy. Attack boosts are always nice. Effect destruction protection is good. Targeting protection is good. And the final effect is basically an automatic ‘I win’ button.
Phantom Gryphon is a vanilla 2k Wind Winged-Beast.
Ritual Beast Tamer Zeframpilica I already had.
Superheavy Samurai Gigagloves stacks your deck and allows you to reveal the top card to reduce the attack of something to 0, while adding that card to hand.
Performapal Recasting is a better Magical Mallet, but it only works with Performapals.
Yosenju Kodam gives Yosenju Training Grounds extra counters, and you can banish it for an extra normal summon.
Raidraptor - Blaze Falcon just destroys every special summoned monster. And attacks directly.
And Harpie Harpist is nice. Searching and bouncing are both good.
Next pack.
Spoiler
CROS 6
Fluffal Sheep; Zefra Path; Deskbot 004; U.A. Signing Deal; Pendulum Rising; Raidraptor - Sharp Lanius; Dizzying Winds of Yosen Village; Abyss Stungray; Suture Rebirth
[collapse]
Zefra Path is way too limited in use. Sure it is nice, but why would I use it when I can use something less specific?
Deskbot 004 is great. It mills, it gains attack and it resurrects Deskbots.
U.A. Signing Deal special summons a U.A. from the deck.
Pendulum Rising specials Pendulum monsters from the deck.
And Suture Rebirth resurrects a Fluffal or Frightfur monster.
Next pack.
Spoiler
CROS 7
Primitive Butterfly; Superheavy Samurai Big Waraji; Edge Imp Frightfuloid; Half Unbreak; U.A. Signing Deal; U.A. Penalty Box; Soprano the Melodious Songstress; Performapal Lizardraw; Barbar, Malebranche of the Burning Abyss
[collapse]
Primitive Butterfly is a free special summon, and it can increase the levels of all Insects you control by 1.
Superheavy Samurai Big Waraji is a free special summon and can act as 2 tributes.
Half Unbreak makes a monster battle immune for a turn, while also halving battle damage.
U.A. Penalty Box can temporarily banish an opposing monster.
Soprano the Melodious Songstress does GY recovery and can act as a Poly.
Next pack.
Spoiler
CROS 8
Soprano the Melodious Songstress; Primitive Butterfly; Abyss Stungray; Performapal Pinch Helper; Edge Imp Saw; Performapal Springoose; Half Unbreak; Frightfur Leo; Ritual Beast Tamer Zefrawendi
[collapse]
Frightfur Leo is okay. Destroy a monster and burn for its attack is nice.
And Ritual Beast Tamer Zefrawendi I already had.
Next pack.
Spoiler
CROS 9
Dizzying Winds of Yosen Village; Fluffal Sheep; Edge Imp Frightfuloid; Fiend Griefing; Primitive Butterfly; Yosen Whirlwind; Edge Imp Saw; Superheavy Samurai Big Waraji; Schuberta the Melodious Maestra
[collapse]
Yosen Whirlwind is fine. It works with the deck, but it isn’t something I’d use.
Next pack.
Spoiler
CROS 10
Deskbot 004; Phantom Gryphon; U.A. Signing Deal; Performapal Recasting; Infernoid Sjette; Dizzying Winds of Yosen Village; Designer Frightfur; Pendulum Rising; Zefraniu, Secret of the Yang Zing
[collapse]
Zefraniu, Secret of the Yang Zing searches Yang Zing or Zefra Spells and Traps when Pendulum summoned or when it is destroyed.
But yeah. That was the first then of Crossed Souls. Really nice opening, getting 4 higher rarity cards. Hopefully that luck keeps up next time when I open some Clash or Rebellions. The CORE of all sets.
… do you get it? The set code for Clash or Rebellions is CORE. So it is a pretty CORE set.
Okay I’ll stop now. … no I won’t. It will return next time.
