Zombie Apocalypse: I Gain Access to In-Game System
Chapter 31: It’s Time to Teach Some
CHAPTER 31: IT’S TIME TO TEACH SOME
September 14th, 2025.
It has been four days since the apocalypse started and ever since they arrived in the apartment, they kept their profile low by not going out and eating the supplies that should last them a week, which is now only four days left. Still they are not in a hurry.
Meanwhile, Riku cooped himself up inside his bedroom and checked his stats.

As expected, it didn’t increase that much. Killing zombies and completing missions given by the system is the only way for him to earn SP.
"Sooner or later, I will have to lure a horde of zombies and farm the shit out of them," Riku said, clicking his tongue.
Of course this wasn’t his only reason to check his system stats. There was another reason, and that was to give a weapon to his allies, which is his schoolmate.
The problem is that they were suspicious of where the weapons came from. They know the strict gun laws of Japan and even he may have overdone it. Still, he can get away from everything by simply stating that they shouldn’t pry any further.
Like why would a person care about the origin of the weapon if it’s a zombie apocalypse? They’ll need every weapon they can use to survive this new world.
Now, as for the weapon, there is one in mind. He couldn’t just hand them a rifle or a submachine gun as they are not trained to operate them. He was an exception as the system had granted him the stats required to operate those kinds of machinery but he was not removing the possibility of them being armed with one.
A pistol would fit them. It’s compact, light, and easy to use. He browsed the Armory Shop and purchased 3 Glock 17 for the amount 1,800SP. He then added six magazines with bullets for 720SP. And a suppressor for another 750SP.
In total, he had spent 3,270SP. Leaving him with a balance of 10,230SP. All the purchased items were transferred to his inventory. But he was not done. His M4 Carbine needed a replenishment as he had used a lot of them during the mission to save Miko’s parents.
He bought 600 rounds of 5.56×45mm NATO or ten drum magazines for 1,600SP. So his balance is now 8,630SP.
And he was done shopping. He pulled the three Glock 17 from the system and closed it after. He rose to his feet.
Time to meet the girls.
Outside his bedroom, Riku saw the four girls, Ichika, Suzune, Miko, and Hana. They were having a conversation about something.
"So you are saying that you haven’t met my brother before the zombies arrived?" Hana curiously asked.
"We’re just schoolmates, Hana," Ichika explained with a light smile. "We weren’t even classmates, so it’s impossible for us to know him well before all this happened."
"If it wasn’t for your brother, we wouldn’t have made it here," Suzune added politely. "Your brother has my deepest gratitude."
Miko, who had been quietly listening, smiled faintly and said, "Yeah... your brother is really cool."
Riku, who had just walked up to them, caught that last part. Before he could say anything, Hana turned toward Miko with a grin that could only mean trouble.
"You know," Hana said casually, "my brother doesn’t have a girlfriend yet."
The room went quiet for half a second.
Miko’s eyes widened slightly, a faint blush creeping onto her cheeks. Suzune looked away with a small cough, while Ichika tried to hide her smile but failed miserably. Even Hana, realizing what she’d just implied, blinked once before smirking at her brother.
Riku raised an eyebrow, torn between shutting down the conversation and just letting the awkwardness hang in the air.
"...Right," he said dryly, deciding to pretend it wasn’t worth addressing.
"Riku?" Ichika was the first to react to Riku’s sudden arrival.
"Sorry for disrupting your conversation but I have something to tell you guys," Riku said.
"What is it?" Suzune asked as she noticed the seriousness in his tone.
"I have something for you three," Riku said, his eyes shifting from Ichika to Suzune and then to Miko.
They exchanged puzzled looks before turning back to him. "Something... for us?" Ichika asked cautiously.
Without answering, Riku reached behind his back and, one by one, placed three Glock 17 pistols on the table.
The room went silent. Miko’s lips parted slightly, Suzune’s eyes narrowed in surprise, and Ichika leaned forward as if to confirm she was really seeing a firearm in front of her.
"Are those... real?" Ichika finally asked.
"They’re real," Riku replied flatly. "Nine-millimeter, semi-auto, seventeen-round capacity. Each of you will carry one from now on."
Suzune blinked rapidly. "Wait, seriously how many guns do you have in your bedroom?"
"That’s not your concern," Riku cut her off, his tone firm but not hostile. "Right now, all that matters is staying alive. You don’t have to like guns, but you’ll be glad to have one when a zombie corners you."
Suzune frowned, still looking at the pistol like it might bite her. "I’ve never fired anything like this before."
"You’ll learn," Riku said, sliding one of the pistols toward her. "I’m not giving these out for decoration. I’ll teach you how to handle them—loading, firing. But before we proceed, I’m going to teach you the rules on how to survive the apocalypse."
The four girls leaned in, willing to hear what Riku had to say.
