CHAPTER 244: CHAPTER 244: PASTA!

Ivy gently lifted the edge of her shirt just enough for them to see the faint, pinkish mark on her lower belly, the exact same butterfly shape Helena and Victor remembered.

The room fell utterly silent.

Helena broke first. She let out a shaky sob and fell to her knees, reaching out to touch Ivy’s hand. "It’s you... my baby... my Ivy."

Her heart was pounding to the point that she almost thought that it would explode, while Victor started to sob too. Even Felix and Kael covered their faces.

The sound of the heartwrenching sobs echoed in the empty silence.

All of them had suffered terribly. One side longing to be reunited with the other side. While the other side didn’t even know about the existence of the other side until the past life.

Even Silas, who had been standing quietly at the entrance, felt a lump form in his throat at the sight. He had seen Ivy cry before...but never like this. This time, it was relief.

Inhaling a deep breath, he coughed to attract their attention.

"Instead of crying like this... it would be better to cry while sitting on the sofa. Ivy might feel cold."

"Cold? It is scorching... eh? Why has the temperature dropped? Sigh... it has been a long time since the temperature returned to normal..." Felix muttered. Then his eyes fell on Ivy, and he chuckled.

"Perhaps it’s due to the arrival of my sister! She is such a lucky charm!"

Ivy: "..."

She knew her second brother was a sis-con. He loved to dote on her and call her a lucky charm. Even the mutated animals hunted by him, despite a lot of injuries, were credited to her presence.

Ivy felt as if someone had fed her honey, and she couldn’t stop smiling.

Helena, on the other hand, ignored all the people in the room and kept on caressing Ivy’s face. Sometimes, she hugged, and sometimes she kissed Ivy’s cheeks.

Ivy obediently let her do so. Her mother was the most expressive among all the Nightbanes. She was also the most depressed person after Ivy’s disappearance when Ivy was a baby.

In the end, Helena moved Ivy to the sofa; however, she didn’t move away from Ivy. Instead, she almost glued herself to Ivy.

Ivy enjoyed the warmth from her mother, while Silas tried his best to make his presence minimal.

Victor was on the other side of Ivy, and he stared at her as if she would disappear the next second.

Kael was arranging food for her while Felix chatted.

"Do you know Ivy? There was this one scammer who had almost scammed us and had entered our family. But none of us felt any closeness to her like we felt to you. Oh, right... You must have lied at Moonjewel Base’s entrance, right?"

Ivy’s eyes widened and her heart skipped a beat as she asked,

"Wait... you had seen me at the Moonjewel entrance?"

"Yes." Felix drawled, and feeling four pairs of resentful gazes, he raised his hand with mock innocence and defended himself, "In my defense, I would like to point out that that guy over there is the one responsible for it."

Felix shifted all the blame to Silas, making everyone turn their attention to Silas.

Silas: "..." Wow... my brother-in-law certainly hates me... otherwise he wouldn’t have trapped me.

"What did I even do?"

Felix kind of disliked this brother-in-law of his.

Because of him, he had missed his sister... not to mention, he even claimed to his sister’s husband. He also likes to attract bees.

How unpleasant was that?

Hence, he was determined to make things difficult for himself!

"You said that my sister has a powerful family, and I subconsciously thought that with a powerful family, how can Ivy be an orphan?"

Silas raised an eyebrow. "And your conclusion was... to ignore her?"

"Ignore her? Oh, please! I am not like you, attracting bees." Felix rolled his eyes and turned toward his family. "He is Ivy’s boyfriend, and I saw many women throwing themselves at him. Such men are trouble!"

"Brother." Ivy blinked and looked at Felix with an innocent gaze, and in an instant, he fell silent.

"I mean... he isn’t that unpleasant. Anyways! Ivy, tell me what you like to eat the most. I am a good cook!" Felix patted his biceps to prove his strength.

"Pasta!" Ivy remembered how her eldest sister always praised Felix for making the best pasta, which intensified her craving.

The Nightbane family fell silent before Felix smiled.

"Sure! I will get it for you. But you will have to wait for 3 hours."

"3 hours? Why so long?" Ivy was puzzled while the Nightbane family fell silent again. They would rather not come across as incompetent in front of their daughter/sister because of not being able to procure pasta.

However, Ivy understood their reaction, and her heart ached. Her family mustn’t have pasta to eat... and hence they looked so hesitant.

From what she had heard, her family member particularly liked pasta, but in her past life, they didn’t have any for 5 years!

’It’s alright... in this life... I will make sure to fulfill each and every one’s wish.’

With a smile, she cleared her throat, and her gentle voice echoed in the room, "Does it require a secret recipe or something?"

"Ah? Yes! Yes!" Felix immediately nodded, while Helena gave a forced smile.

Victor and Kael played along, nodding as if it was indeed true.

Ivy was amused, yet she held in and waved her hand.

"Well then, I will place the pasta on the table."

Before anyone from the Nightbane could understand Ivy’s words, bags of pasta appeared on the table.

Penne, ziti, rigatoni, fusilli, gemelli, cavatappi, farfalle, etc.

There were so many varieties that all of the Nightbane family’s jaws dropped. They blinked, staring at the small pile, and couldn’t see for a moment.

"This... this... are you a space element user? And why do you have so many varieties of pasta?"
