While the Shen family was preparing to escape from the base, the Phantom team had cleared up a large group of zombies in the open field area.

Jiao Lizhi checked her watch and nodded. "Okay."

When they finished cleaning up the zombies’ corpses, she took out the two armored cars and drank some pond water.

Before leaving, Jin Xuyan turned to his members and said, "Ah Zhi and I will open the road. The rest of you follow from behind. Xiao Qi and Feng Yun, the two of you will be responsible for collecting the crystal cores."

"Understood," the members replied in unison.

As the zombies were approaching, they stopped talking and entered the armored vehicles. As for Jin Xuyan and Jiao Lizhi, the two of them rushed toward the zombies while unsheathing their weapons.

When they were ten meters away from the zombies, a huge, crescent-shaped water blade flew toward the zombies at a fast speed, killing the zombies blocking the road.

While Jiao Lizhi was killing the zombies using her ice scythe, Jin Xuyan killed the zombies that survived his fiancée’s attack, and burned the zombies’ corpses with his black flame, leaving nothing but piles of dust and scattered crystal cores.

Behind them, Xiao Qi and Feng Yun were sitting on the armored vehicles’ rooftop and collecting the crystal cores.

As they broke through level one, not only was their space’s size increased, even the maximum distance they were able to collect things also increased.

Right now, Xiao Qi could collect items from thirty meters away, while Feng Yun was able to collect items from fifty meters away.

With Jin Xuyan and Jiao Lizhi clearing the zombies blocking the road, the Phantom team moved faster. For the zombies on the roadside, they didn’t bother to clear them for now.

With the speed they were moving, the zombies were unable to catch up with the cars and were left behind not long after. As the distance grew, the zombies stopped running after them.

When they finally arrived at the base’s perimeter, the sky had changed color as the sun was setting in the western area.

The moment they entered the base’s perimeter, the soldiers who were monitoring the surveillance camera noticed it. As soon as they saw a group of people coming out of the armored vehicles, one of the soldiers said, "Captain, there is a group of soldiers outside the base."

Hearing this, the Captain, who was responsible for guarding the perimeter, walked over and checked the situation. Seeing the familiar face on the monitor, he was delighted and said, "Quick, open the gate and let them in."

Receiving the order, the soldier quickly pressed a button and opened the gate.

Outside the base, Jiao Lizhi stored their armored vehicles in her space before she took out a bottle of water for her fiancée and drank some water herself.
