Zombie Apocalypse: Reborn With A Farming Space
Chapter 526: Not Father But Ancestor
CHAPTER 526: NOT FATHER BUT ANCESTOR
Averting her gaze, Pei Yixie cleared her throat and replied, "I met with my brother when I was patrolling the north area. I didn’t want to go back home, so I ran away."
When he heard this, Fu Guai recalled the information he had heard about the Pei family. "Is Pei Yijun coming to take you home under your father’s order?" he asked with a frown.
Shaking her head, Pei Yixie let out a sigh and said, "I don’t know. I really don’t want to go back to that place. If possible, I don’t want to see that man ever again."
"If you want, I can kill him," Fu Guai said casually.
Taken aback by how nonchalant he was, Pei Yixie grabbed his hand and said, "Brother, you can’t. My father is not someone you can offend. It’s better for you to never cross paths with him."
"Why? Are you worried about me?"
"You are my friend, of course I worry about you," Pei Yixie replied without hesitation.
Before Fu Guai could process the sudden unhappiness he was feeling because of her words, he heard her say, "What’s more, even without evidence, I’m sure that my father was involved with the Facility. If you kill him, the Facility will never let you go."
Noticing her trembling hands, he lowered his gaze to hide his killing intent. After a moment of silence, he nodded and said, "Okay, I will listen to you."
"Until Pei Yijun leaves the base, I will accompany you. With me around, he won’t be able to take you away. So, don’t worry."
Pei Yixie nodded and finally smiled at him. "Thank you, Brother. You are really a good person!"
Suddenly receiving a ’good person’ card, Fu Guai shook his head and replied, "I’m not a good person and will never be a good person. It’s because it’s you, that’s why I care."
Feeling that she might get a heart attack at this rate, Pei Yixie coughed and said, "I’m sleepy. Let’s go back."
Fu Guai nodded but didn’t let go of her hand. The two of them returned while holding hands.
A few hours passed, and Du Beiye was organizing her weapons for sale while chatting with Krayan.
"Host, after you sell these weapons, you might be able to access the laboratory."
Du Beiye nodded and said, "I never knew that they had so many crystal cores. It seems that the living conditions in this base are better than what I thought."
"Indeed..."
Suddenly, a crackling sound echoed in her mind before Krayan said, "Host, after you sell these weapons, you might be able to access the laboratory."
The moment she heard Krayan’s words, Du Beiye narrowed her eyes and muttered, "A system glitch?"
"Host, there is no glitch in the system. You might be experiencing something called déjà vu."
When she heard this, Du Beiye said, "Krayan, check if there were electromagnetic or gravitational waves in the last ten minutes."
One minute later, Krayan replied, "Host, a huge gravitational wave was detected five minutes and thirty-seven seconds ago. Based on the data, a space portal was opened five minutes ago."
As soon as she heard this, Du Beiye clenched her fists and said coldly, "They are here. Krayan, can you check their location?"
"Scanning in process... Scanning complete. Host, the system was unable to pinpoint the exact location. But the last signal came from the north direction."
"Open the world map."
The next moment, a blue screen with a complete world map appeared in front of her. She pointed at Lin’an City and said, "Our current location is here. If the signal came from the north direction, then it was here."
On the map was a mountain range known as the Land of Snow. According to the historical record, this place was also called Trivishtap by the historians in her civilization.
Rubbing her chin, she muttered, "As expected, these bugs really love to live underground."
"Host, with your current strength, it’s impossible for you to eliminate them," Krayan reminded her.
"I know."
Scratching her head, Du Beiye lay on the bed and let out a long sigh. "I haven’t found a way to stop my father from destroying this world yet, and now, those bugs came here to join the fun. So annoying!"
"Host, according to the Blue Planet’s dictionary, since you were created by using Shrotam’s DNA and not from his sperm, you should be called his clone instead of his daughter," Krayan said suddenly.
"What nonsense are you saying? Everyone who was born from the ’Origins’ would call them their Father or Mother. This was common sense taught to us before we even learned how to flip our bodies," Du Beiye retorted.
"Host, I searched the historical record, and the Blue Planet’s people would be called ancestors by the people who were born from their DNA."
"So, Shrotam is not my father but my ancestor?" Du Beiye asked with doubts.
"Yes."
"I heard that in ancient times, the people on this planet would worship their ancestors by burning paper money, incense, and preparing lots of dishes as offerings. Should I do the same and honor my ancestor?" she asked.
Krayan went silent for a long time before it replied, "Host, I have run a series of ’what if’ situations. The possibility of you being killed by Shrotam if you do that is as high as ninety percent. It’s advisable not to do it."
Feeling disappointed, Du Beiye let out a sigh and said, "Okay then."
After the conversation, she closed her eyes and went to sleep.
In another room, both Jin Xuyan and Jiao Lizhi were practicing their abilities inside her Space.
While Jin Xuyan was practicing his swordsmanship, Jiao Lizhi was draining her energy by creating several massive water balls.
She continued draining and recovered her energy by absorbing the energy contained inside the black crystal over and over again.
Since she found out that the unknown crystal her team discovered could recover her energy as the crystal cores, she no longer used crystal cores when training.
