Zombie Bodyguard
Chapter 1021 - 1018: The Shy Miss
CHAPTER 1021: CHAPTER 1018: THE SHY MISS
When the Qian father and son were welcoming the Bai Family, Lin Tian had already walked into Ziwei Garden with Miss Xiao and Xiao Manxuan.
"Lin Tian, you’re amazing, suddenly showing up and teaching that Qian whoever a lesson. Are you sent by heaven to rescue us two beauties?" Xiao Manxuan said excitedly, holding onto Lin Tian and asking nonstop since he appeared.
Second Miss, you’re really unabashed, proclaiming yourself a beauty so confidently, Lin Tian smiled helplessly.
"Second Miss, I just got here a bit earlier than you, and not far inside, I overheard the conversation outside. You know my hearing is always sharp. So I rushed out, and it was indeed that little brat with the clinking coins blocking your way. As the bodyguard to the Second Miss, how could I just sit back and do nothing? I had to teach him a lesson," Lin Tian explained with a smile.
When Lin Tian referred to Qian Xiang as "the little brat with clinking coins," Miss Xiao couldn’t help but chuckle. She glanced at Lin Tian, holding back her laughter, and said, "You were right to teach that Qian Xiang a lesson, but you shouldn’t have said those words; it’s too crude."
"What words?" Lin Tian pretended to be clueless.
Miss Xiao’s face flushed, glaring at Lin Tian, she gritted her teeth and said, "You... you mentioned getting physical."
"Oh, that’s what it was. I didn’t get physical, did I? What’s wrong with that? Or did Miss think of something?" Lin Tian said innocently, looking very irritating.
"You..." Miss Xiao was at a loss for words because Lin Tian had indeed hit the mark, and her thoughts wandered there.
"Pfft..." One of Miss Xiao’s attendants couldn’t help but laugh. The servants, all female, had rarely seen their own boss so embarrassed, and because of a man, no less.
Lin Tian turned to look at them and started laughing when he saw the woman in front. She was wearing a uniform skirt, tall and slender, with beautiful, long legs wrapped in black stockings. It was undoubtedly Secretary Xu.
"Secretary Xu, long time no see. I didn’t realize you were here too," Lin Tian said with a smile.
Before Secretary Xu could respond, Xiao Manxuan chimed in playfully, "Lin Tian, you’re so fake. On the way, you snuck a peek at Sister Xu at least five times."
"Haha, was it that obvious?" Lin Tian asked unabashedly, "I snuck a peek at the Second Miss twenty times. Did you notice that?"
The little girl’s face turned red, but she boldly puffed out her chest and said proudly, "Look all you want; I’m just that cute."
Lin Tian showed a black-lined face again. The little girl truly deserved the title of the Second Miss, as her self-praise was always so spontaneous and unabashed.
"Ahem..." Miss Xiao pretended to cough a few times, reminding Xiao Manxuan not to lose her feminine grace in front of Lin Tian, and turned to Lin Tian, asking, "Lin Tian, how did you know about Ziwei Garden and came in alone?"
She knew that with Lin Tian’s abilities, he could go anywhere in the world. A mere Ziwei Garden would naturally not be a problem, but Lin Tian had swaggered in. The problem was that Ziwei Garden was off-limits to outsiders.
"You know I don’t like these commercial gatherings. It was the old man who asked me to come with Uncle Yun; they went ahead to wait for me," Lin Tian replied truthfully.
"Oh, that’s how it is." Miss Xiao was somewhat surprised that Mr. Yun had asked Lin Tian to come, as Lin Tian was not part of the Yun Family.
Could it be that the old man had acknowledged him? She suddenly thought of this question, glanced at Lin Tian, but didn’t feel it was appropriate to ask about Lin Tian’s background now due to the time and place not being suitable.
Lin Tian led Miss Xiao and the others toward the inner garden. Ziwei Garden’s architectural style was somewhat similar to the Yun Family, with rockeries and ponds, ancient trees, and flowers, more beautiful and elegant than any scenic spot. But compared to the grandeur of the Yun Family, it was still lacking.
As they walked through Ziwei Garden, Lin Tian compared, feeling the rarity of the Yun Family’s feng shui treasure land, akin to a prince’s residence in ancient times.
"Miss Xiao, we’re here. Uncle Yun and Aunt Wang are waiting for us at the pavilion ahead," Lin Tian pointed to a pavilion in front.
Yun Haoyu and three others saw Lin Tian and his group from afar. When they approached, Yun Haoyu smiled and said, "Miss Xiao, we meet again. Your last visit to the Yun Family wasn’t troubled by the old men, was it?"
Miss Xiao glanced at Lin Tian before replying to Yun Haoyu, "No, I understand their intentions."
Lin Tian listened carefully, discerning Yun Haoyu’s hidden implication. It seemed that Miss Xiao’s last visit to the Yun Family had aligned with the old men’s intent, possibly matchmaking Miss Xiao with Yun Xiaotian.
"Manxue, don’t take it to heart. Xiao Tian is still young, not of marriageable age. It’s just the elderly being wishful thinking. I hope you don’t mind. Personally, I don’t believe in that stuff," Wang Wanxi said warmly, taking Miss Xiao’s hand.
"That’s right, Aunt Wang is correct, and Xiao Tian is still a child," Lin Tian said, draping his arm around Yun Xiaotian’s shoulder with a big smile.
Yun Xiaotian seemed unaccustomed to such closeness, shifted his body slightly, trying to avoid Lin Tian but decided to stand still, letting Lin Tian rest on his shoulder.
Wang Wanxi and Miss Xiao both gave Lin Tian a side-eye, and Wang Wanxi laughed, "Lin Tian, are you that worried about Manxue? Haha, you’re a few years older than Xiao Tian, making you a perfect match for Manxue."
Miss Xiao blushed slightly, shyly responding, "Aunt Wang, why are you linking me with Lin Tian? He’s still a student."
"What’s wrong with being a student? Once autumn comes, Lin Tian will be a college student, and it’s quite normal for college students to date," Wang Wanxi continued to smile.
Miss Xiao couldn’t out-talk Wang Wanxi, so she turned and gave Lin Tian a stern look, while Lin Tian protested innocently, "This has nothing to do with me; it’s all Aunt Wang’s doing."
"Alright, Wanxi, stop teasing them; see how Miss Xiao is blushing. Let’s go inside; everyone’s probably here by now," Yun Haoyu chuckled.
Wang Wanxi nodded, took Miss Xiao by the hand, and walked forward. The strong bond between the two surprised Lin Tian, perhaps due to both being Female Ancient Martial Artists, sharing the same exceptional talents, naturally leading to mutual admiration.
As Miss Xiao walked past Lin Tian, she suddenly raised her foot and stamped on Lin Tian’s foot with her high heel, then walked away as if nothing happened. Xiao Manxuan winked at Lin Tian and followed suit; Secretary Xu and the others showed a smile they struggled to contain.
A gust of wind blew by, leaving Lin Tian feeling confused and innocent in the breeze.
The Xiao sisters truly shared the same strong-headedness, Lin Tian shook his head helplessly. As he was about to leave the pavilion, a voice stopped him.
"Are you Lin Tian?" A man’s voice came from behind.
