Chapter 1057 - 1054: Evidence
CHAPTER 1057: CHAPTER 1054: EVIDENCE
Miss didn’t have time to think much and went to the corner to make a phone call.
Yun Haoyu glanced at Miss and then said to Bai Yuanhao, "Mr. Bai, do you have any evidence? This matter is of great importance; don’t say things without proof."
"Of course, I have evidence." Bai Yuanhao said calmly, then took something out of his pocket.
Lin Tian looked on, seeing Bai Yuanhao holding a USB drive, though Lin Tian could tell it wasn’t the encrypted one. Maybe Bai Yuanhao secretly copied the data.
"This is the confidential information obtained by the Bai Family. It contains all of Sun Hai’s criminal evidence. However, I can’t show it to you now; it can only be handed over to the investigators. I can only say the content is all true," Bai Yuanhao said, shaking the USB drive and putting it away.
Everyone understood this matter had far-reaching implications. The Bai Family wouldn’t produce fake evidence; otherwise, the investigators would easily uncover the truth. This indicates that Sun Hai’s illegal overseas business activities are basically true.
Given Sun Hai’s situation, of course, they didn’t care much. Business people were more concerned about what role the Xiao Family played in Sun Hai’s activities, and whether they were involved.
Because the eldest daughter of the Xiao Family was about to become the new president, this affects the reputation of the Yunhua Commerce.
"Mr. Yun, how about it? Is my reason for opposing sufficient?" Bai Yuanhao said again.
Yun Haoyu frowned, looked back at Lin Tian and Miss, and found Miss still on the phone. He calmly said, "This matter still needs final confirmation. We cannot simply deny the election results based on a USB drive and a few words from you."
"Moreover, even if Sun Hai has engaged in illegal activities, he is just a shareholder and cannot represent the entire Xiao Group. I believe the Xiao Family is not involved. The integrity of the Xiao Family’s business is evident to all," Yun Haoyu added.
"That’s right, I believe the Xiao Family wouldn’t be involved in Sun Hai’s affairs. Even if Sun Hai is at fault, it is his personal behavior alone," Sister Yu said loudly.
Many business people nodded in agreement. The Xiao Family’s image has always been good, known for its honest business practices, so many don’t believe the Xiao Family would be involved.
Bai Yuanhao, however, was unfazed and said calmly, "Mr. Yun can report to the authorities now, and once the investigators arrive, the truth will be revealed. Whether the Xiao Family is involved, the investigators will make their judgment."
"Mr. Yun, please wait. We have evidence proving the Xiao Family is innocent," Lin Tian glanced at Bai Yuanhao and stepped out to speak to Yun Haoyu.
Before Yun Haoyu could speak, Mr. Yun stood up and said, "Since that’s the case, we’ll wait a bit longer until the Xiao Family presents evidence. We are a commercial organization that won’t cover up any economic crime, but also won’t wrongfully accuse any good person, nor let any of our members bear an undeserved reputation!"
Mr. Yun’s words were said with firmness and power, and other business people nodded in agreement. They all understood one truth: in a large company, there could be bad apples, and even the best enterprise can’t ensure no one goes astray.
Bai Yuanhao frowned. He had planned to sell out Sun Hai, which would immediately prompt an investigation into the Xiao Group. Regardless of whether the Xiao Family is innocent, he could hire someone to write smear articles about the Xiao Family. Then, even if the Xiao Family were innocent, they would be tarnished beyond repair.
But he hadn’t expected the Yun Family to stand up for the Xiao Family. Bai Yuanhao couldn’t understand what the Xiao Family had offered to the Yun Family. With Mr. Yun’s stance, the situation seemed not to unfold as he had imagined.
Bai Yuanhao thought it over and suddenly remembered that Yun Hongxi’s injuries had been healed by Lin Tian, didn’t they? The Yun Family owed a debt of gratitude of this kind, and as long as Lin Tian spoke up, the Yun Family would help unconditionally, right?
Thinking of Lin Tian’s previous help to the Xiao Family, Bai Yuanhao’s face showed discomfort. He had schemed incessantly, yet he missed considering Lin Tian’s relationship with the Yun Family.
"Dad, why don’t we report it quietly and catch them off guard?" Bai Yuze whispered behind him.
As soon as he finished speaking, Lin Tian’s laughter echoed. The hall was not large, and Lin Tian could hear his voice effortlessly.
"Haha, Bai Yuze, what did you say? Could you say it a bit louder so we can all hear?" Lin Tian said loudly.
Bai Yuze’s face flushed in embarrassment, and he argued, "I said Mr. Yun’s decision is entirely correct. Is there a problem with me saying that?"
"But it seems I vaguely heard you wanting to report secretly, disregarding Mr. Yun’s words and everyone’s reputation," Lin Tian sneered.
"Bai Yuze couldn’t bear the accusation. He quickly explained, "No, I wouldn’t do such a thing."
"Good then," Lin Tian smiled, having warned him, he was uninterested in further interaction.
Miss finished her call and nodded toward Lin Tian, "I’ve notified Mom, don’t worry."
"There’s nothing for me to worry about; it’s Sun Hai who’s unfortunate. I haven’t acted yet, and he’s already been betrayed by his own people. Sun Hai is done for, and there’s no return for him." Lin Tian said plainly.
Lin Tian felt no sympathy for Sun Hai’s fate. Whether due to his actions or his son Sun Decai’s past, even if the Bai Family hadn’t betrayed him, Lin Tian would eventually leave him with nothing.
Lin Tian originally thought of keeping Sun Decai around for fun. It seems even fate couldn’t stand it, forcing his end to arrive early. With Sun Hai’s situation, the Sun Family was virtually finished. Sun Decai was accustomed to a wealthy lifestyle; without a rich father, he wouldn’t last long.
Of course, if Sun Hai left a path for Sun Decai, Lin Tian wouldn’t mind severing that path too, so Sun Decai could taste despair.
Yes, despair. When Sun Decai once humiliated and beat him, leaving him close to death, Lin Tian understood what despair meant, unable to call for help, only feeling death slowly approaching.
"Lin Tian, what are you thinking?" Xiao Manxuan seemed to sense Lin Tian’s emotional fluctuations and asked softly.
Seeing the concerned look in the little girl’s eyes, Lin Tian smiled reassuringly and said frankly, "I was thinking if Sun Hai ends, then Sun Decai won’t have many days left to be arrogant."
"They deserve it; such is the fate of the crooked seniors and juniors," Xiao Manxuan said, pouting.
"That’s right, what kind of father teaches what kind of son," Lin Tian said with a smile.
Jokingly, half an hour passed. Lin Tian found it odd how long it was taking to send a fax, and the Qian Family also grew impatient when a few people walked in from outside Ziwei Hall.
Leading them was a young beautiful woman, radiant and graceful.
